Name: Johnny Nhok
I am Asian American. I speak English and Cambodian. Also, I’m part Chinese from my mother’s side but not many people know it. I am a friendly person once you get to know me. I like sports such as basketball, swimming, running (sort of), ping pong and some times weight lifting. My favorite foods are honey walnut prawns & steamed asparagus. And I enjoy watching “How I Met Your Mother.” It’s the best tv show out there right now.

REPEAL SB48

More About : Events /  News

REPEAL SB48

SB 48 has been misrepresented to the public and passed as a bill aimed to end bullying. The actual provisions of the bill say nothing about bullying. Instead it requires all public schools (all grades from K-12) to include discussions of the sexual orientations of transgender, bisexual, and gay Americans in all social science courses. We can repeal it if we can gather 500,000 voters signature by the end of September. Then we can put SB48 in November’s ballot. Criteria for signing: 1. You need to be a California register voter 2. Sign according to the county where you live. Please go to the patio to sign the petition.

BASIC LIFE SEMINAR, AUGUST 8-14

Bill Gothard has helped hundreds of thousands of Christians over the past decades to understand and apply biblical principles in everyday life, from home to school to work and everywhere else. Cumberland will host this seminar from 8/8-14. M-F from 7-10p.m.; Saturday from 9a.m.-8:30p.m.; Sunday from 6:30-9:30p.m. Seminar will be available in English & Chinese. For more informations, please contact Judy Chung at 415-421-1624 Ext. 24

The Basic Seminar users real-life stories and practical diagrams to show how every problem in life can be traced to seven non-optional principles found in the the Bible. Every person, regarless of culture, background, religion, race, education, or social status, must either follow these principles or experience the consequences of violating them.

By explaining principles rather than rules, individuals are equipped to make wise choices and avoide failure. Parents and teens have learned to understand each other. Husbands and wives have strengthened their relationship. Pastors gain insight into problems they are facing in the church. Everyone can benefit from this seminar on basic life principles.
