Passage: Proverbs 2:1-22

Reflection Questions:
1. Notice that in this psalm it starts off by saying that when you search for wisdom you will find the “knowledge of God”, and it comes from the mouth of the Lord. This wisdom will protect you from “wicked men” and “adulteress”. It will help you “keep to the paths of the righteous.” With so many benefits, why is it hard to pursue and accept wisdom?
2. In what way has the wisdom mentioned in this psalm been a shield in your life?

Passage: 2 Corinthians 5:1-10

Reflection Questions:
1. What gives Paul the confidence that he will be “clothed with …heavenly dwelling”? (v. 5)
2. What is wrong with highly valuing beauty and youth? How often do you long for the heavenly body promised to believers at the resurrection?

Passage: Luke 23:39-43

Reflection Questions:
1. In what way are verses 40-43 a summary of the gospel message?
2. What was the significance about the words exchanged between Jesus and the criminal on the cross? What is the underlying assumption behind the criminal’s words to Jesus? What does it show about him? What do Jesus’ words tell about Jesus?

Passage: Hebrews 11:8-16

Reflection Questions:
1. Abraham was described as looking forward to “a better country”, a city “whose architect and builder is God.” Do you share the same hope with him? Can you imagine what this city is like? What great things do you imagine God is preparing in that city for you?
2. In what concrete ways can we demonstrate the truth that we are “aliens and strangers” on earth?

Passage: Galatians 6:6-10

Reflection Questions:
1. What do you think is the relationship between “God cannot be mocked” and “a man reaps what he sows”? Why did Paul use this image to explain the reason why God cannot be mocked?
2. As you reflect on what you have “sown” this year, what “harvest” are you expecting: Weeds? A large crop? Weak unhealthy plants? Why? What can you do this week to “sow to the Spirit”?
